Peter and the Starcatcher (2016)
Peter and the Starcatcher was Cydney's first leading role with Caught in the Act Productions under the direction of Karla Quiñones. The show was done similarly to the original broadway production which performed back in February of 2009. The show was built around the concept of a child's imagination and found objects, leaving the set to be very minimal. Cydney's favorite part of the show was at the end of act one when her character jumps into the ocean to escape the pirate Blackstache and his crew. For this, the orchestra pit was open and padded and Cydney, along with other cast members, jumped down into the pit.
This show was nominated for best overall production at Denver ThesCon in 2016. The cast was given the opportunity to be one of two shows that performed that year. This performance was held with an audience of about 5000 people.
